First, let's get your basic info. We use Wranglr for helping to schedule our volunteers. Please enter your name, email and mobile number. This info will be used to communicate openings, your schedule and important info from High Horses. Make sure you have access to both the email account and the mobile for texts.

Photo & Publicity Release

I hereby grant permission to High Horses Center for Equine-Assisted Services the use of photographs, videos, and any other audio/visual media taken of me for promotional materials and publications, educational activities, exhibitions or for any other use for the benefit of the program. I further understand that by signing this release form, I waive any and all present and future rights of compensation or ownership regarding such uses and understand that all materials remain the property of High Horses Center for Equine-Assisted Services.

Additional Info

Why do we need this info? Some volunteering roles and duties might require you to work with larger horses, carry heavier things, etc. We also work with Participants that have many different needs and the below information helps us make more informed decisions for our Participants and Volunteers. Please fill out whatever info you are comfortable sharing with us.

Medical Waiver

In the event that emergency medical aid/treatment is required due to illness or injury during the process of receiving services, or while being on the property of the agency, I authorize High Horses Center for Equine-Assisted Services to: 1. Secure and retain medical treatment and transportation if needed. 2. Release records upon request to the authorized individual or agency involved in the medical emergency treatment.

Volunteering

Have you ever wanted to learn how to tack or lead a horse? Or do you already have these skills and miss using them? Would you like to help with lessons, walk trails, do barn chores, or organize special events, all the while making friends with humans and horses? High Horses is looking for volunteers of all ages and levels of experience. We offer general orientation, along with enrichment workshops and one-to-one mentoring, so that all of us can learn and grow together. Our volunteers donate their time and talents in endless ways, forming a vibrant community with our staff, riders and herd. Whatever way you choose to make a difference, your contributions - and smiles - are vital to our programs.























Important Information and Acceptances

General Liability Release

I would like to volunteer for High Horses Center for Equine-Assisted Services. I acknowledge the inherent risk and potential for risks of equine activities. Warning: Under Vermont Law, an equine activity sponsor is not liable for an injury to, or the death of, a participant in the equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities that are obvious and necessary, Pursuant to 12 V.S.A. 1039 – added 1995, No. 136 (ADJ. Sess.), 2. The term “Equine Activity Sponsors” includes High Horses Center for Equine-Assisted Services, their Board of Directors, Instructors, Therapists, Aids, Volunteers, and/or all Employees.

Confidentiality

High Horses Center for Equine-Assisted Services shall preserve the right of confidentiality for all individuals in its program. Anyone who works or volunteers for, or provides services to, High Horses Center for Equine-Assisted Services shall keep confidential all medical, social, referral, personal and financial information regarding a person and his/her family. Any confidential information can only be used for a specific identified purpose when written authorization is given by a participant, family member or legal guardian. I understand that I will be accountable for the protection of our riders’ privacy. Violation of the right to confidentiality will constitute grounds for termination of employment or involvement with High Horses Center for Equine-Assisted Services.

Background Check Release

At High Horses, we require a Background Check for our Volunteers.
